New Jersey online gambling – time to roll the dice!
After Nevada and Delaware now its New jersey online gambling turn. New Jersey became the third state to legalize Online gambling on November 2024. The authorities reported that people were eager to play as 17,000 players participated in the “soft launch” period which was actually a beta testing for regulated online Gambling in New Jersey.
Geolocation, the service that identifies the player’s ip and allows him to play in case he is located within the state, reported preventing accesses from other restricted states which are not regulated yet for online gambling.
Geolocation is the service that online gambling operators must use in order to ban users from playing at the licensed online casinos if they are located outside of New Jersey, the same service being used in Nevada.
Operators such as Betfair refused to provide numbers about the quantity of signups were done per day during their “soft launch”, probably as a result of the competition with other operators.
